Hamas militant cutting, eating human heart VIDEO - Check This
In the backdrop of the Israel-Hamas war, a graphic video showing someone hacking open another man's chest, removing an organ from within, and then eating it has gone viral on social media. "Hamas Terrorist can be seen taking butchering an Israeli citizen, calving out his heart, and then eating it," an X user who uploaded the video commented.
Despite his suffering, the victim lived! Get up! These are not human! Although the film is unsettling, it depicts the truth of Israel's situation.
India Herald Fact Check found that this video is from 2020 and shows a member of a Mexican drug cartel killing a rival gang member.
Our Probe
We saw that a number of commenters on the widely shared article said that the video was outdated and originated in Mexico. After that, we conducted a Spanish keyword search and found a report published by the Mexican daily "El Sol de La Laguna" on august 24, 2020. The video purportedly shows a member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel taking out and devouring the heart of a Tepalcatepec Cartel drug dealer. This occurrence reportedly happened in a remote part of Mexico's Michoacan state.
This incident was covered by several Spanish-language news publications in august 2020. Methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and other illegal drugs are frequently supplied to the US by Mexican drug gangs. Operating throughout more than two-thirds of Mexico, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel is one of the fastest-growing organisations in the nation. It follows that it is abundantly evident that the viral video has nothing to do with Hamas or Israel.
