media. Badal asked chief minister Mann to also call AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. Describing Mann as a pawn,
he said that kejriwal is the real chief minister of Punjab. SAD has also announced to siege the official residence
of bhagwant mann in chandigarh on october 10 on the SYL issue.
They are trying to divert respect – Congress
Congress punjab unit chief Wadding criticized Mann for trying to divert the issue and said it would have been
better if he had called leaders of all political parties and farmer leaders for a meaningful discussion on the SYL
issue. Wadding also asked Mann many questions related to the state. Wadding sought details from the Chief
minister about the increase in registration rate of criminal cases in the last one and a half year, increase in drug-
related cases, state debt, number of farmers committing suicide, expenditure on advertisements and compensation
to flood affected people.
Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa said that he has accepted Mann's challenge, but said that the debate should
be held at a public place instead of a government building (Assembly). He said that this debate should be led by a
retired judge of the supreme court or a person on whom political parties agree.
