Telangana - 1000-bed govt hospital inaugurated in Siddipet
Harish Rao said that in contrast to earlier times when the state had multiplied the number of medical seats and medical institutions, children of daily wage earners were now also enrolled in MBBS programs in Telangana. The minister stated that the institution has 175 seats and that 25 students from other regions of the country will enroll there, leaving the remaining places for local students.
The recently opened hospital features 100 ICU beds, a 30-bed emergency department, a dialysis facility with 40 beds, 15 operating rooms, and 8 modular operating rooms. 150 house surgeons and 280 physicians will be available to treat patients. In addition, there are 13 PG departments in the college, and 3 more PG departments are being approved for the health department.
