Telangana - 1000-bed govt hospital inaugurated in Siddipet
On Thursday, T harish rao, the telangana state health minister, opened a 1,000-bed hospital in siddipet that is affiliated with the government Medical College. After the ceremony, the minister addressed the crowd and noted that the district's government hospital now has 1,000 beds, up from 100 in 2016.
Harish Rao said that in contrast to earlier times when the state had multiplied the number of medical seats and medical institutions, children of daily wage earners were now also enrolled in MBBS programs in Telangana. The minister stated that the institution has 175 seats and that 25 students from other regions of the country will enroll there, leaving the remaining places for local students.
The recently opened hospital features 100 ICU beds, a 30-bed emergency department, a dialysis facility with 40 beds, 15 operating rooms, and 8 modular operating rooms. 150 house surgeons and 280 physicians will be available to treat patients. In addition, there are 13 PG departments in the college, and 3 more PG departments are being approved for the health department.
Harish said that there were plans in place to construct a 50-bed super-specialised critical care building. The facility would offer medical services ranging from basic assistance to the treatment of life-threatening illnesses, the minister continued. Additionally, harish rao introduced the Rutuprema app in siddipet and gave 250 construction workers sewing machines along with free sewing instruction. Additionally, 100 sc Gurukul school pupils received lap tabs and nutritional kits for teenage ladies.
