Heavy Traffic in Telangana Hyderabad Old City due to Ganesh Pandals
Since saturday night, hundreds of people have flocked to Ganesh pandals to see the idols, causing massive traffic jams in numerous areas of the Old City. Begum Bazaar, Mangalhat, Siddiamber Bazaar, Goshamahal, Osmangunj, Chatrinaka, Lal Darwaza, Ghansi Bazaar, etc. all have Ganesh idols based on various themes.Due to the fact that it was a weekend without rain, worshippers from all around the city opted to visit the Old City.
At Khairatabad Bada Ganesh, where over 2.5 lakh devotees had visited and given prayers thus far, a sizable crowd could be seen. Both the MMTS and metro stations in Khairatabad were very busy. Being the sixth day, on saturday, worshippers could also be seen bringing idols in processions to the Hussainsagar for immersion. To make the idol absorption easier, the ghmc and police developed plans. Up until dawn, idols will still be submerged. On Sunday, more idols are anticipated to be submerged.
