The continuous conflict between Eatala Rajender, the party's election management committee chairman, and g kishan reddy, the state bjp unit president, is making it difficult for other leaders to engage in election campaigning in the state. According to party insiders, the two leaders did not get along, which caused considerable confusion and unhappiness among party officials. During a recent visit to the city, Union home minister amit shah allegedly voiced his displeasure with the way events were developing in the party's telangana chapter, particularly with the lack of coordination among senior leaders. He counseled kishan reddy and Eatala to put their differences aside and cooperate in order to help the party win the upcoming elections for the State legislature.
BJP State elections Coordinator kishan reddy and Eatala's actions angered Prakash Javadekar as well, who urged them to resolve their disputes and begin building the party from the ground up. According to reports, he advised them to start the election campaign immediately because postponing it would make it exceedingly difficult for the party to compete with the ruling BRS, which had already named its candidates and begun its campaign.
It is known that Eatala was not receiving the appropriate support from the bjp central leadership, which prevented him from making decisions on his own on election campaigning. Even party veterans were allegedly causing him difficulties and preventing him from participating in programmes. Eatala, who is also in charge of the party's joining committee, is also criticised for failing to persuade important figures from competing parties to join the BJP.
A number of State bjp officials and leaders believe that the party has not benefited in any way from Bandi Sanjay's replacement by kishan reddy and that the ongoing conflict between the leaders is the cause of considerable unhappiness among the cadre.
