Amarmani accused of murder in 2003 Why is BJP betting?
2003 was very bad for Amarmani, a powerful leader of Purvanchal. This was the same time when Amarmani wasconvicted for the murder of poet Madhumita Shukla. Actually, Madhumita was shot dead by two assailants atAmarmani's residence. After which Madhumita's sister nidhi Shukla alleged that Madhumita was in a relationship withAmarmani and was 7 months pregnant at the time she was murdered.When Amarmani's name was involved in this case, mayawati expelled him from BSP and handed over the case to CBI.The agency investigated and Amarmani and his wife were found guilty in the court. It was also proved that Amarmaniwas the father of Madhumita’s child. After this, the relationship between Madhumita and Amarmani, which was underrumors till now, came out in the open. Now after 20 years, yogi government has released Amarmani. After whichMadhumita’s sister and SP mp Dimple Yadav also opposed it. Dimple questioned this decision of the bjp governmentand called it equivalent to waiving the sentence of the accused in the Bilkis Bano case.Why is bjp betting on Amarmani?Now, after coming out of jail after years, Amarmani may feel that the political world has changed.
