More pelican signals to be installed on Telangana Hyderabad Roads

The hyderabad municipal corporation-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">greater hyderabad municipal corporation (GHMC) intends to install pelican signals at more traffic crossings around the city to protect pedestrians. The authorities were instructed to take action to enhance the number of pelican signals in the city by ghmc Commissioner Ronald Rose, who hosted a review meeting here on Tuesday. The conference, which included representatives from the energy and police departments as well as other line departments, discussed how to improve these signs.

As of this currently, 57 city corridors have 404 Adaptive Traffic Signal Control (ATSC) systems with pelican signals installed. Among the 282 signals, 169 are from the previous ATSC system, and 113 are from the new one. For the protection of pedestrians, an additional 78 pelican signals have been erected. In addition to giving authorities instructions to install extra pelican signals at busy intersections, Rose gave them the job of updating the 44 non-corridor signals and linking them to the command centre.

According to Hyderabad's ATSC system, which is unique, travel times are cut by 20 to 30 percent. Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of police (Traffic), said this. In a related event, the ghmc Commissioner requested that the railway authorities take on the Railway over Bridge works in order to enhance the city's transport infrastructure. He said that the ongoing construction is causing traffic problems near the ROBs at Falaknuma, Shastripuram, and Yakutpura. The Commissioner saw the road widening projects that would be carried out from Shastripuram to Falaknuma bus Depot through through Vattepally while being accompanied by MLC Mohammed Ahmed.
