More pelican signals to be installed on Telangana Hyderabad Roads
As of this currently, 57 city corridors have 404 Adaptive Traffic Signal Control (ATSC) systems with pelican signals installed. Among the 282 signals, 169 are from the previous ATSC system, and 113 are from the new one. For the protection of pedestrians, an additional 78 pelican signals have been erected. In addition to giving authorities instructions to install extra pelican signals at busy intersections, Rose gave them the job of updating the 44 non-corridor signals and linking them to the command centre.
According to Hyderabad's ATSC system, which is unique, travel times are cut by 20 to 30 percent. Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of police (Traffic), said this.
