Why the leader of opposition party was not elected even though the budget session?

Reportedly minister HC Mahadevappa questioned why the leader of the opposition party was not elected even though the budget session and the joint session were held. Speaking to reporters in Gadag today, he said that even after three months of the election, the bjp has not been able to choose an opposition leader. He said this is the first time in the history of Karnataka. It is clear from this that there is no unity, no consensus, no compromise and no leadership in the bjp party. But our congress is not like that, it is the party that took the leadership to bring freedom to this country. Our party has a great history and ideology. Five year plans have been implemented for the development of the country. The doors of the congress are open to those who agree with the tenets of the congress party. But there is no question of calling Banni Banni by ourselves, he said.

Responding to BL Santosh's statement that if one person from bjp goes, he will bring 40 people, the minister said that the people have already answered the question of BL Santosh's worth. He made it clear that no one from our party will join the BJP. Responding to a media query regarding the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu Cauvery water sharing issue, the minister said the Cauvery dispute is a 100-year-old issue. The supreme court has ruled on the legal battles. Cauvery Water Board has been set up. No rain, no water stored in reservoirs. So we are not in a position to give water to someone else. He said that we will give first priority to protect drinking water and the welfare of our farmers.
