Reportedly tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Commission will conduct an awareness program for officials to deal with the problems caused by stray dogs. The increasing number of stray dogs in urban and rural areas of tamil Nadu is a cause for concern. Due to the increase in the number of stray dogs, people cannot walk on the roads. people returning home after work at night are attacked by stray dogs. From children to adults walking on the roads, everyone is attacked by stray dogs. Due to this, major impacts such as loss of life also occur. But as the number of dogs continues to increase, the current measures to manage the population and ensure proper vaccination are insufficient. As a result, dog attacks and deaths are on the rise. In particular, dog-borne diseases such as rabies are also on the rise.


To address these issues, tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board is taking some decisive steps. Accordingly, the tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board has organized an awareness program for City health Officers from Municipalities, Corporations and Town Panchayats. The program will be held on 31st august (tomorrow) from 10 AM to 1 AM at Amma Maligai Arena, Ripon Building Complex, Chennai. The tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board said the primary objective of the program is to emphadata-size the importance of implementing animal birth control measures. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on proper protocols to be followed during the process of animal birth control activities. As per the updated Animal Birth Control Rules of 2023, implementation of these will be ensured.
