As per report a special team has been formed under the leadership of ACP naveen Kulkarni of the CCB Special Investigation Squad in connection with the case of life threatening letter to prominent writers of the country. Recently, DGP Alok Mohan (DGP Alok Mohan IPS) had ordered a CCB investigation into the life threat case against Sahitya. 
 
Furthermore in this background, ACP naveen Kulkarni has been appointed as the investigating officer by the City Joint Commissioner (Crime) Dr. SD Sharanappa. Famous writers like Kum Veerabhadrappa, BL venu, Banjagere Jayaprakash, BT Lalitha Naik and Vasundhara Bhupathi received threatening letters. Cases were registered in various places including Bangalore. The CCB police will meet the writers whose lives were threatened and get their statements. The police have decided to call those people and question them if they raise suspicions of the Sahityas.
 
 
The local police have handed over the cases registered in different parts of the state in connection with this act to the CCB. An FIR was registered on the complaint of Kum. Veerabhadrappa at Kottur police station in Vijayanagara district, B.L. venu at Chitradurga city's Hosbadawan police station, Banjagere Jayaprakash at Ramanagara district's Harohalli police station, Lalita Naik at Sanjaynagar police station in Bangalore and Vasundhara Bhupathi at Basaveshwar nagar police station.
