The first flight will take off between singapore and Bangalore on august 31, 2023 on singapore airlines flight SQ508/SQ509, where passengers will be the first to experience the international sector of the new terminal. indigo is the first indian carrier to start international operations at T2, with flight 6E1167 to Colombo.

Terminal 2 facilitates 30 to 35 international departures daily on 27 airlines (25 international and 2 Indian).

To increase access to T2, an additional 4.4 KM-long access road called 'Terminal Boulevard' was inaugurated earlier this year. Free shuttle services will also be available at regular intervals between T1 and T2 for the convenience of passengers.
