For which crime does the ICC want to arrest Putin?

The G20 conference is going to be held in the capital Delhi between 8th and 10th September. Leaders of

different countries will reach india in this conference. Preparations for the summit are also in their final

stages and the entire country is ready to host the leaders attending the summit.

Meanwhile, news is coming that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not attending this conference. Just a

few days before the G-20 summit, from august 22 to august 24, the BRICS conference of a group of 5

countries was held in South Africa, in which Putin did not attend.

In such a situation, the question arises why Putin is avoiding attending these conferences. Why is Putin not

going to any country which is a member of ICC i.e. international Criminal Court?

ICC had issued warrant against Russia

In fact, in february 2022, russia had attacked Ukraine. After which, on march 2023, the International

Criminal court issued a warrant against Putin. There is an allegation against the President of russia that

during the war he had illegally taken children from ukraine to Russia. But both ukraine and russia are not

members of ICC, hence all these rules do not apply to these countries.

Now it is believed that one of the reasons for the Russian President's absence from the BRICS conference is

that the country where this conference was organized, i.e. South Africa, is a member of the ICC. In such a

situation, the country which is a member of ICC is bound to accept the steps taken by them. If Putin had

gone to South Africa, he could have been arrested there
