The aam aadmi party replied that if he wants to implement President's rule, I want to tell the governor that he should do it in Manipur and Haryana. The tussle between the aam aadmi party (Aam Aadmi Party) government and the governor has intensified in Punjab. As chief minister Bhagwant Mann continues to not respond to his letters, the governor is likely to recommend President's Rule in Punjab.

Meanwhile in an announcement issued today governor Banwarilal Purohit has warned that if chief minister Bhagwant Mann does not respond to his letters, he will recommend President's Rule in the state and initiate criminal proceedings. On the recommendation of the governor, under Article 356, the state can be dissolved and direct President's rule can be brought in.

The governor also asked chief minister Bhagwant Mann about the steps taken by the government to prevent drug trafficking. In the letter, the governor mentioned that it has become common in punjab to say that drugs are available in pharmacies and even in state-run liquor stores, and pointed to a recent report by a parliamentary standing committee that one in five people in the state is addicted to drugs. When responding to the governor's warning, punjab State aam aadmi party spokesperson Malwinder Singh said the governor should follow an order. "The Constitution of india empowers those elected by the people," he asserted. He has also alleged that there is a conspiracy of the bjp behind such a threat by the governor that the President's rule will be brought. "I want to tell the governor that if he wants to implement President's rule, he should do it in Manipur and Haryana. The punjab government is working within the framework of the constitution. The governor has only one plan - he is going ahead with the plan to destabilize state governments run by non-BJP parties," aam aadmi party spokesperson said. Malvinder Singh said.
