The recently released 'Gamyam' bus tracking app from telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been well received by the general public. Over one lakh downloads have already been recorded within a week of its introduction. Additionally, commuters have used the app to critique and voice their complaints about the non-availability of city bus services as well as the app's unresponsive interdata-face, mistakes, and technical issues.
The 'TSRTC Gamyam' app allows users to view information about the buses that are currently operating along a certain route, including their beginning and ending locations as well as the names of the conductor and driver. Except for current regular buses, you can input the route number of a city bus to determine its precise position. The reservation number can be used to track buses for long-distance services. Through this app, you may find the closest bus stop, according to a senior TSRTC employee.
Bus riders who frequently commute between the city and the suburbs or vice versa find the app to be beneficial. I adore this app. It is helpful for passengers using district, Palle Velugu, and ultra-luxury buses. I'm hoping that the city bus services will also be included to the app soon," remarked M. Prabhakar, a passenger. Another user, Y.Karthik, expressed his gratitude to the TSRTC for the effort and praised the car tracking accuracy. This programme aids in real-time tracking and bus location along a certain route. Tracking also appears to be precise.
On how the app should work, individuals also provided recommendations. There are frequent freezes, problems, and unresponsive interdata-faces, according to a user named T. Sudheendra. Additionally, there is no information about regular city buses. According to TSRTC authorities, the app will be improved based on user input. By October, the tracking technology will be deployed on every bus in the fleet.
In Hyderabad, we now offer tracking services for 4,170 TSRTC buses, including the Pushpak and Metro Express services. All buses in the districts, with the exception of Palle Velugu services, have access to this facility, according to an official. Beginning in October, the tracking facility will be connected to all other services, including city-wide. The source stated that one person from each depot would also be designated to only oversee the app's operation.
This app is available on google Play Store and can also be downloaded for free from TSRTC official website www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in. It is available in telugu and English.
