The Union home minister amit shah has presented a bill to impose the death penalty for crimes against women and children in the Parliament. New delhi (August 11) The central government has presented historic bills on the last day of the session. A comprehensive review of the laws made during the british era, the revised bill has been introduced for the current situation in india and the protection of indian citizens. The laws in the new bill are being heavily debated and appreciated. The central government has passed a bill that imposes severe punishment for crimes especially against women and children. Under the new law, rape of a minor is punishable by death. Gang rape and other crimes have been severely punished. On the last day of the monsoon session, amit shah presented an important bill. The indian Judiciary Bill, the indian Evidence Bill and the indian Civil Defense Bill were introduced. By this, the most severe punishment has been imposed for the crime against women and girls. Amiti Shah said in the house that these three amendment bills will be sent to a parliamentary committee for further scrutiny.
In the case of gang-rape, the convict has been sentenced to 20 years or life imprisonment. mass murder, lynching and other crimes are punishable by death. amit shah said there is a need for tougher laws in india to instill fear in criminals and reduce crime. Under the new law, physical intercourse under the pretense of identity will be punished. FIR can be registered from anywhere. The new law states that the police must update the FIR information report within 90 days. Acted as british law from 1860 to 2023. amit shah said that now, to protect the citizens of india, punishment will be given keeping in mind the gravity of the crime.
