Why is there no control on violence in Manipur?
The opposition told the Manipur violence as the first motive for bringing the no-confidence motion. All the MPs of india coalition made special mention of Manipur violence in their speech. A delegation of opposition MPs also visited Manipur. There are 4 main demands of the opposition in the Manipur violence case.
- Why hasn't the chief minister been removed from the post for failing to stop the violence within Manipur, why doesn't the government impose President's rule?
- The gap between the two communities has widened in Manipur. Why didn't the prime minister make a better effort to eradicate it, why didn't he himself go to Manipur?
Violence still continues between Kuki and Meitei in Manipur. The government is only talking about strict action, why is it not able to take effective steps to stop the violence?
- The supreme court questioned the law and order of Manipur. women were humiliated by rioters in Manipur, yet why are top police officers still in office?
Speaking on the no-confidence motion, home minister amit shah gave clarification on not removing the Chief Minister. Shah said that the chief minister is supporting a lot, so no action has been taken.
Congress mp Rahul gandhi said on Manipur issue that 'my mother' has been murdered there. The prime minister is not taking action against the culprits. government is not considering Manipur as a part of India.
