How to use the national flag? Instructions..!

Finance Department warns ahead of Independence Day celebrations. The Department of Public Administration has given instructions to strictly follow the flag code on the occasion of using the national flag in the state. The Department of Public Administration has directed that flag code should be strictly followed on occasions when the national flag is used in the state. The national flag should be hand made or machine made using cotton, polyester, yarn, silk and khadi.


The national flag should be rectangular in shape. Length and height should be in 3:2 ratio. The flag should be erected in such a way as to command respect and honor. Do not use a damaged or dirty flag. The national flag should not be hoisted on a flagpole along with other flags. No other flags should be hoisted higher than the national flag. Individuals, private institutions and educational institutions may hoist the national flag every day. Can also be used for special occasions and celebrations. It should preserve the dignity and respect of the national flag. Clause (xi) Clause 2.2 Part-2 of the Flag Code of 2002 has been amended on 20th July, 2022 to permit the display of the National Flag in public places and private houses both day and night. The Flag Code also states that the national flag should not be used on vehicles other than those mentioned in Part III of Section-9 of the Flag Code.
