The city is experiencing a drinking water crisis as various locations report problems with turbidity, mixing of sewage, and lack of supplies. There was no sign of respite for the residents of various localities, including Kondapur, madhapur, Moula Ali, Trimulgherry, and Quthbullapur. mouli Ali resident Kaleru Rohit told india Herald that the water had been dirty and had become an unsettling shade of brown during the previous two weeks.

Barely enough is available for drinking, much less for cooking and other requirements. Our flat is dependent on water tankers, and the meager supply we get is not enough for a family of five, especially if there are kids at home, she said.

According to S Rajshekar, general manager of HMWS&SB Hafeezpet division, "Dull water has entered the system due to the rains and flood in the rivers. To guarantee that every home has access to safe drinking water, we are acting. director Azmeera krishna declined to comment while the managing director of the water board M Dana kishore did not return calls.
