TSRTC to soon introduce AC electric buses in Telangana Hyderabad

The telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will soon make its air-conditioned electric buses available to passengers in Hyderabad. The TSRTC is getting ready to utilize 25 electric buses shortly after deciding to gradually install 1,300 electric vehicles in the Greater hyderabad region. Managing director of TSRTC, VC Sajjanar, on Monday, looked over the electric AC bus prototype at bus Bhavan and questioned staff members about the amenities offered to passengers.

In hyderabad, the Corporation will soon provide environmentally friendly electric buses. Olectra has ordered 550 electric buses from Greentech Limited (OGL) as part of the project. It has chosen to operate 500 buses in the city of hyderabad and 50 buses on the vijayawada route, where there are currently 10 electric buses operating, according to Sajjanar. TSRTC intends to operate only electric buses in hyderabad in the near future. In the city, 500 electric buses will be made accessible throughout this fiscal year.

50 of them are AC buses, with the remaining half being either regular or metro express buses. These buses will be provided to TSRTC by Olectra in installments under a Gross Cost contract (GCC) basis. Another 800 electric buses are being purchased for the city in addition to these, said Sajjanar.
