The State would request the Centre to remove financial assistance being distributed under the Dalit Bandhu programme from the Goods and services Tax (GST) net, according to Scheduled Castes Development minister Koppula Eshwar. Each participant of the programme received financial support from the State government in the amount of Rs 10 lakh. During Saturday's Legislative Council Question Period, MS prabhakar Rao offered a suggestion, and the minister informed the house that the subject will be brought up with the Centre.

In response to a query, the minister stated that the State had opted to shoulder the full responsibility of funding scholarships on its own since it was uncomfortable with the new standards introduced by the Centre.
HRDCL completes Rs 323.67 crore worth works
The hyderabad road development corporation Limited (HRDCL) completed around 25 of the 27.20 km of roadworks totalling Rs. 323.67 crore that it had begun, while 12 of the 18.03 km comprising Rs. 191.25 crore worth of work was still in process, according to MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao. He said that 784 road maintenance projects totaling Rs 162.58 crore were started in the Old City, and of those, 158 projects costing Rs 27.89 crore were finished. In the Old City, road widening projects of Rs 280 crore were started, of which Rs 5.95 crore were finished.
Fish production touches 4.38 lakh tonnes
