On Saturday, KT Rama Rao, the minister of municipal administration and urban development, issued a challenge to the opposition parties to substantiate their claims of wrongdoing in the 30-year lease of the Outer Ring Road (ORR), saying he was prepared to leave politics forever if they could. He said that the leasing had been carried out in complete accordance with the Center's requirements for national roadways.

The minister also offered to resign from his Ministerial post immediately if bjp and congress leaders could show evidence of any other State under their rule performing better than telangana in terms of development in response to a brief discussion on "infrastructure development under Palle pragathi and Pattana Pragathi" in the assembly here.

If people believed the BRS was spreading falsehoods about the state's progress, he advised them to vote against them in the forthcoming assembly elections. But if there is even a hint of truth in what he stated, he pleaded with the audience to see to it that the opposition parties forfeit their deposits. Rama Rao criticized the congress party, claiming it lost credibility. He emphadata-sized that despite having controlled the State for over 50 years, the congress leaders were now lamenting its lack of fundamental infrastructure. The opposition, according to him, is politically bankrupt.

Rama Rao asserted that the telangana model has shown to be more effective on a number of fronts when compared to the gujarat model. According to him, less than 10% of the monies used for urban and rural development in telangana over the previous nine years came from the Centre. He clarified that, in contrast to other parties, the BRS administration did not claim exclusive responsibility for Hyderabad's development.

Instead, we value the achievements made by earlier administrations and work to make the city even better in order to satisfy future demands.
