In an interactive meeting with representatives of several IT and ITES companies on Friday, Cyberabad police Commissioner M.Stephen Raveendra, Secretary General of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), Ramesh Kaza, and other senior police officials held a thorough discussion on the topic of streamlining traffic in the IT corridor.
"Cyberabad police is proactive in many ways, and this is an important meeting, as we would like to take input from the industry and arrive at steps acceptable to the industry," said stephen Raveendra, speaking at the conference. These sessions also assist us in developing a system that requires employees to travel the least amount of distance to go to work or home.
Industry recommendations included things like pushing carpooling as a concept and staggered log-in and log-out times. Ramesh Kaza asked businesses to look for ways to limit the use of private automobiles by allowing non-customer positions to work from home or with just partial attendance, allowing early log-ins and early log-outs, and offering and sharing transport. The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Cyberabad police, which has started a campaign against prostitution and activities associated to it, maintains a register of PITA organisers and recently performed a survey to update their information in police records. Nitika Pant, Deputy Commissioner of police for Women's Safety, discusses the many actions undertaken thus far.
