The former khammam district's railway stations need to be developed, and mp Nama nageswara rao has requested funding from the Centre for that purpose. In letters to the chairman of the Railway Board, the SCR General Manager, and Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, he emphasised the importance of modernising, upgrading, and developing the railway stations in the khammam parliamentary district.

On Friday, the mp met with Vaishnaw in delhi and requested Rs. 40 crore for each of the railway stations in khammam, kothagudem, and Madhira and Rs. 10 crore for the remaining stations, including the recently opened Chandrugonda and Sathupally stations. The passenger demands are not being met by the extremely subpar amenities offered at the train stations. According to him, train stations also need to have amenities like CCTV cameras, escalators, lifts, safe drinking water plants, contemporary waiting areas, restrooms, and particular facilities for women.

The mp also asked the minister to establish a rail rake facility in the industrial kothagudem district's Pandurangapuram railway station, award funding for its construction, and expand it. The mp met with Vaishnaw in delhi and requested Rs. 40 crore for each of the railway stations in khammam, kothagudem, and Madhira and Rs. 10 crore for the remaining stations
