On Tuesday, telangana governor Dr. tamilisai soundararajan urged all organizations—government, nonprofit, and commercial—to band together to help the state's flood-affected households right now. She claimed that more than 10 million people were impacted by the torrential rains, particularly in the northern and central regions of the state, that many have been left homeless, and that the situation is worse than expected.

The governor issued the following directive to the central, state, and district offices of the indian Red Cross Society: "More support is needed, in the form of food, shelter, water purification chemicals, and health camps. Although relief centers have been established, more are required as floods persist.

"I also ask the NDRF teams to expedite rescue efforts. A thorough rehabilitation plan must be developed to address the long-term effects, and it must include funding for infrastructure improvements, financial assistance for basic requirements, and compensation for lost or wounded people. Let's band together and make a concerted effort to support these families as they recover from their loss and start again, said Dr. Soundararajan. According to sources, the governor would travel to flood-stricken districts, beginning on wednesday at the Bhadrakali Tank Bund in Warangal, to meet with affected families and assess relief efforts.
