Four passengers on board a moving train in maharashtra were shot and killed by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) policeman on Monday, according to an official. A RPF Assistant Sub Inspector and three other passengers of the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express were killed just after 5 a.m. when the policeman opened fire with his automatic rifle, according to the official. About 100 kilometres separate Palghar from Mumbai.

The official said that ASI Tika ram meena was shot on the moving train by chetan Kumar Choudhary, who was in charge of escort duties. The report stated that after shooting his superior, the cop walked to another bogie and killed three people. With the assistance of government Railway police and RPF authorities, the constable was apprehended by police at Mira Road.

Between the stations of Vapi and Palghar in maharashtra early on Monday, an RPF constable fatally shot three passengers and an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) on a Mumbai-bound train. Officials claim that the government Railway police (GRP) had detained the accused RPF constable, chetan Kumar. According to a source, it appears at first glance that Kumar opened fire after arguing with Tika ram over several personal and work-related matters. "Kumar and his senior ASI Tika ram were deployed in the train for security during which the firing incident took place after an argument between Kumar and ram," the source continued.
