Firing in Katihar- tension in Darbhanga...

bihar is in discussion. For two reasons. One is because of chief minister nitish kumar himself. He has protested against the BJP-led central government. Many parties and leaders were brought under one umbrella. Something like a grand alliance of the opposition is taking shape. At present, bihar is in headlines due to firing on citizens seeking electricity in Katihar. Communal tension in Darbhanga and suspension of internet till 30th July is in news. Bihar's law and order, Nitish's constituent RJD and the entire politics of bihar are once again in discussion till Delhi.

It is too early to dismiss nitish kumar - It is too early to say that nitish kumar has lost the reins of administration, but from what is happening, it seems that the grip of his hands has weakened a bit. I remember that when nitish kumar took over power for the first time, at the end of 2005, there was an incident in Bhagalpur. Then ashwini Choubey was given a kind of threat by nitish kumar regarding a procession, 'If there is any disturbance there, you people will be responsible, I can refuse to run the power.' This was a veiled threat or a hidden threat. Was only The rioting stopped soon after that. Rohtas district also had a similar incident. We had thought that this DM level incident, a small matter, would be resolved, but the way Nitish ji took interest and resolved the incident immediately was commendable.

The confession of the government is less

Now, when such incidents are happening, be it firing on electricity demanders in Katihar or communal clash in Darbhanga, it is very unfortunate. This puts dust on Nitish ji's official dignity. Katihar incident is very sad. Shots were fired and people died. police shot dead and I remember an incident related to it. When there was bhanu Pillai's government and Samajwadi government in Kerala, then a similar incident had happened, shots were fired and Dr. Lohia himself demanded the resignation of his government. He said that if it was wrong in the congress government, then how can it be right in the Samajwadi government? It is not right to demand resignation on every issue, but Nitish ji should think for himself. He should see what kind of people the chief minister is surrounded by. It has been said for a long time that whenever he has come with RJD, there has been a problem in the law and order situation. Irrespective of the performance of the government on other issues, the law and order situation is bound to deteriorate.
