Telangana Rains - IAF choppers from Hakimpet join relief efforts
On Thursday, the State's attempts to provide assistance to flood-affected communities in bhupalpally district involved two indian air Force (IAF) helicopters from the air Force Station Hakimpet, Hyderabad. Six individuals who were trapped on top of an earthmover in the flood-stricken Nainpaka hamlet of bhupalpally were rescued by the helicopters after they took off from the Hakimpet air Force Station.

An official statement from the local defence force claims that the air Force Station Hakimpet, which is under the Training Command, has always been in the forefront of taking on difficult tasks to assist the civil government in saving the priceless lives of fellow residents.
Telangana is on high alert after a record amount of rain pelted many districts over the last 24 hours. Lakshmidevipeta village in venkatapuram mandal of mulugu district recorded the most amount of rain ever for the State with 64.98 cm in the 24 hours ending at 8 am on Thursday, setting a new state record.
