How madhav equation works in Maharashtra?

Maharashtra Legislative assembly elections are going to be held soon after the lok sabha elections to be held in the country in the year 2024. To ensure its victory in this election, bjp is adopting madhav formula.

In fact, in the 80s, the bharatiya janata party tried the 'Madhav Formula' to bring the OBC community in its fold. Under which the party had taken many decisions to keep the Mali, Dhangar and Vanjari (Banjara) communities, which have an effective number in OBC, happy. The party also got the benefit of strategy.

Now before the lok sabha elections to be held in the year 2024, bjp has once again started trying to bring the people of Mali, Dhangar and Vanjari communities in its fold. This is also believed to be the reason behind changing the name of Ahmednagar to Ahilyadevi Holkar. The Dhangar community worships Ahilyadevi Holkar as a god.

How many seats do these communities have influence on?

Most of the people of this community live in Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Pune, Akola, Parbhani, Nanded and Yavatmal districts. At the same time, according to experts, the people of this community have decisive votes in more than 40 assembly constituencies and the people of this community have influence on about 100 assembly constituencies.
