Assembly polls in Telangana - EC designates EROs, DEOs

For each of the State's 119 assembly districts and 33 districts, the election commission of india (ECI) has assigned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and district Election Officers (DEOs). In coordination with the State administration, the ECI appointed EROs and DEOs, according to a news statement released here on Tuesday. According to the announcement, these officials will be crucial in protecting the integrity of electoral data, monitoring the electoral rolls, and assuring proper voter registration.
District collector VP gautham announced that on june 20 training and awareness campaigns for EVMs and VVPATs would begin district-wide in preparation for the next assembly elections. In total, 3100 ballot units (BUs), 2403 control units (CUs), 2359 voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) systems, and each electronic voting machine (EVM) were given to the district administration.
Engineers from the Electronic Corporation of india (ECI) performed the first level checking (FLC) of the EVMs and VVPATs from june 25 to July 9 in the presence of national and state-recognized political parties, according to the Collector. During the FLC, 3000 bus, 2390 CUs, and 2343 VVPATs were certified, according to Gautham, who spoke to the media on Tuesday. 16 VVPATs, 13 CUs, and 100 bus were all refused.
