AAP got congress support against delhi Bureaucracy..!?
The congress has cleared its stand on the central government's ordinance to control Delhi's bureaucracy. aam aadmi party has got relief with the announcement of Congress. With the congress coming out in support of the AAP government ahead of the monsoon session, Kejriwal's party is set to participate in the opposition unity meeting. After a long marathon meeting, the congress on sunday decided in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party. However, delhi and punjab congress units did not want that support.
congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that I think the aam aadmi party will attend the opposition meeting tomorrow. As far as the ordinance (on control of services in Delhi) is concerned, our stand is very clear. We are not going to support it. A few days ago, AAP said that it will not attend any such meeting unless the congress supports its stand on the delhi ordinance. On sunday, the aam aadmi party is going to discuss the opposition meeting in Bengaluru. In fact, in a conference called for opposition unity in patna on june 23, the aam aadmi party had said that if the congress does not clarify its stand, it would be difficult for it to remain in the alliance. The AAP said the Congress's hesitation and refusal to act as a team player would make it very difficult for the AAP to be part of any coalition that includes the Congress.
The central government brought a controversial ordinance after the AAP government got control of the bureaucracy from the supreme court verdict. With this ordinance, once again the control of Delhi's bureaucracy may go away from the state government. The central government's move to issue the controversial ordinance on May 19 has been termed as a betrayal by the AAP government. The AAP alleged that it was a way to circumvent the supreme court verdict that had given it control of the capital's bureaucrats. arvind kejriwal is gathering the support of the opposition against this ordinance so that the bjp cannot pass it in Parliament. All major opposition parties, except the congress, had assured their support.
