South india, in particular telangana, is anticipated to receive a lot of media attention during the general elections in 2024. There are several rumours that priyanka gandhi may run for office from the medak lok sabha seat, and that prime minister Narendra Modi is thinking about running from a telangana lok sabha seat. The prime minister should run in the area, according to bjp officials, even though it's unclear if Modi would actually select a telangana constituency for the upcoming elections.

The bjp has set its sights on gaining 170 seats from the southern states in the lok sabha polls after losing in karnataka, where the party is underrepresented. In a recent conference held in Hyderabad, it was concluded that the prime minister running from South india would provide the bjp an edge if they ran from their respective lok sabha constituencies in tamil Nadu, karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, telangana, and Kerala.

In response to rumours that congress leaders are wooing priyanka gandhi by offering her a contest from the medak lok sabha constituency in telangana, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) is actively considering the idea of fielding prime minister Narendra Modi from a telangana constituency.

According to sources, bjp leaders initially preferred that the prime minister run for office from a lok sabha seat in karnataka or tamil Nadu. To ensure his candidature in these states, efforts were made. However, the bjp has planned to run a well-known politician from a telangana lok sabha constituency in light of recent efforts to make space for priyanka gandhi in Telangana.

If prime minister Narendra Modi chooses to run from a telangana constituency, secunderabad is said to be his first choice, according to bjp insiders. secunderabad is now represented in the lok sabha by Union minister and State President of the bharatiya janata party G Kishan Reddy, and the bjp has historically had a stronghold in this seat. Alternatively, if the prime minister chooses tamil Nadu, his first preference would be the Ramanathapuram lok sabha constituency. Bangalore lok sabha seat in karnataka is one possibility for his campaign.

Telangana is about to have elections for a number of parliamentary seats, and it's anticipated that this will mark an exciting turning point in the state's political landscape. The state may become a key political axis in the nation as a result of the increasing interest from all political parties in the telangana Assembly elections.
