CHENNAI: The hearing in the recruitment case of Senthil Balaji's wife has been adjourned to tuesday as requested by his lawyer NR Ilango. Reports were filed today by the Enforcement Directorate and Senthil Balaji.
Minister Senthil balaji was arrested on june 14 for involvement in illegal money transactions. Senthil Balaji's wife Megala filed a writ petition in the chennai High court claiming that he has been illegally arrested by the enforcement authorities and should be released immediately. Justices J. Nishaphanu and T. Bharatha Chakraborty heard the case.
Disparate verdicts: Last Wednesday, both judges of the ECtHR delivered verdicts in the case. 2 Judges gave a different verdict from each other. Justice Nishabanu, Senthil Balaji's arrest and judicial custody was illegal. He ruled that he should be released immediately.
