Revolutionizing healthcare in Telangana - Harish Rao launches 134 Diagnostic Tests in T-Diagnostics
The minister emphasised the superiority of Telangana's diagnostic facilities by pointing out that the central lab in hyderabad has attained the prestigious NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) certificate and 13 district labs have attained NABL Primary Accreditation. He praised the chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's creative approach in conceptualising T-Diagnostics, which aims to offer people who rely on government facilities free medical treatments.
The establishment of each radiology and pathology centre cost the government Rs 4.39 crore. The 134 tests would cost another Rs 1.70 crore to complete, increasing the whole cost per hub to Rs 6.09 crores. Now totaling Rs 3 crore yearly, the running costs for each lab, which were previously Rs 2.40 crore, would rise by Rs 60 lakhs.
The minister emphasised the government's dedication to provide free screenings, medical care, and medications to those in need.
