The telangana All Universities contract teachers Joint Action Committee (JAC) has met with Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of TSCHE, and requested that he take urgent steps to regularise the services of contract teachers in the 12 universities in the State. During his thursday visit to Hanamkonda, Dr. sridhar Kumar Lodh and Jarupala Chandulal, the jac leaders, met with him.
The jac leaders expressed their dismay and recalled that they had earlier filed a petition for regularisation in 2015 at a meeting held in the hyderabad secretariat. These highly qualified teachers have still continued to work under contract, putting up with job uncertainty and meager benefits for a number of years despite their qualifications.
The jac leaders urged the government to keep its 2015 promise and begin the regularisation process for university contract teachers throughout the State by pointing out that the standards for regularising university contract teachers are the same as those applied to government degree college lecturers, who have already been regularized.
The jac leaders appealed to Prof. Limbadri and asked him to ask chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to accept their proposal for regularisation. They pleaded with the relevant authorities to begin the required steps so that the long-awaited regularisation of services for university contract lecturers could take place.
