The uppal Skywalk, which the hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) developed at a cost of Rs 25 crore, is about to be officially opened in Hyderabad. Soon, a similar skywalk will open in Mehdipatnam. Yesterday, telangana IT and industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) officially opened the uppal Skywalk.

For pedestrians in the uppal Junction neighbourhood, the 660-meter-long engineering wonder will alter the game by offering a simple and safe way to cross the crowded intersection. There are six jump stations and nine elevators on the uppal Skywalk. The uppal Junction and the neighbouring metro station will be smoothly connected by these facilities. The skywalk's ideal position, next to companies, residences, a sports stadium, and a metro station, guarantees that it will meet the varied demands of the neighbourhood.
The Mehdipatnam Skywalk development is currently being prepared for. This 390-meter-long skywalk will include 11 lifts, allowing people to easily move between different areas of the busy intersection. In addition to Rythu Bazar, the Defence complex wall, the Mehdipatnam bus bay area, the Asif nagar police station, and the Gudimalkapur intersection, the skywalk will have five hop-on stations that are situated close to other well-known landmarks. The construction of this skywalk will provide much-needed respite for the locals who frequently encounter difficulties when attempting to traverse this congested intersection. Hyderabad's pedestrians will benefit from both the uppal and Mehdipatnam skywalks, which will also relieve congestion.
