What has OIC said?The OIC has issued a statement on tuesday, in which it said, the targeting of Muslims during ram Navami processions is worrying. There has been violence against Muslims in many indian states. Referring to the violence in Biharsharif, OIC said, extremist Hindus have targeted madrassas. The library has been set on fire. The OIC Secretary-General criticizes these attacks and further provocations.OIC in its statement has described these incidents as an example of growing Islamophobia (prejudice towards Islam) in India. Also said, Muslims are being systematically targeted in India. The organization demanded strict action from the government of india against those involved in the violence. Along with ensuring the protection of the rights and dignity of Muslims, there has been a demand to provide them a safe environment.
