Telangana farmers who are interested in palm oil cultivation..!?

Thousands of farmers are showing interest in cultivating palm oil trees in telangana, South India. telangana has targeted an additional 2 million acres under palm oil cultivation in the next four years and is making necessary efforts to achieve this target. Especially the state government to increase its cultivation, many government subsidies and good profits encourage many farmers to cultivate this crop. Palm oil is earning 200,000 rupees ($2,536) per acre for farmers who planted it a few years ago.
But despite trying a lot in paddy, I am struggling to earn 40,000 rupees, says Daravathu. He grows palm oil (based on NDTV news) on his 5-acre farm in Chettupally, 300 km (186 mi) east of the state capital Hyderabad.
With the recent boom in palm oil prices, the price of palm oil-producing fruit has also doubled. It is useful for farmers. The palm oil farmers sell more than double the price of fresh fruit bunches to oil mills. For years, india had less than 1 million acres under oil palm crops due to factors including high price volatility, water scarcity, and gestation period. But telangana, occupying a hinterland in the Deccan Plateau, is now gaining interest as India's major palm oil producer.
It meets more than half of its total demand through imports. india imports more than two-thirds of its vegetable oil. Out of the 14 million tonnes of imports, 8.5 million tonnes of palm oil are met through imports.
This has resulted in an expenditure of $18.9 billion, which is expected to widen the trade deficit. india currently produces less than 3,00,000 tonnes of palm oil. It is expected to produce 4 million tonnes of palm oil in the next 7-8 years.
India relies on imports from Indonesia, Malaysia, and thailand to meet its demand. This may lead to a reduction in India's imports in the future. Only 35,000 acres were produced till last year.
