Earlier this year, a gang tried to abduct an 18-year-old Hindu girl named pooja Ott, who lived in the Rohi area of ​​Sukkur city in Pakistan's Sindh province. He objected to this. Enraged by the failed abduction attempt, the gang left the girl in the middle of the street and shot dead the girl, and fled.
This barbaric act was carried out in the presence of many members of the public. The shooting of a Hindu girl by a man at her home caused a stir and drew strong condemnation from various human rights organizations in the country. In 2019, the Sindh regional government made a second attempt to outlaw forced conversion and marriage practices.
