The steps to be taken by the chief minister should make them life-threatening: Chandrababu

TDP chief chandrababu naidu questioned what steps chief minister Jaganmohan reddy was taking for the safety of women in the state. The incident at vijayawada Hospital was strongly condemned.

Telugu Desam party (TDP) leader and leader of the Opposition Chandrababu has lamented that women are being attacked and raped every day somewhere in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Attacks on women in the state, rapes, women are left without protection. To this end, Chandrababu wrote a 3-page letter to chief minister YS Jaganmohan reddy on saturday highlighting the government's failures in the case of women.

Chandrababu said the rape at vijayawada Hospital was evidence of the state government's complete failure to maintain law and order in the state. The victim's parents went to the police station and complained that their daughter was missing, but she was outraged that it was inhumane to ignore her. He said the government was moved when they visited the victim in Vijayawada.

The home minister of the state joked that not knowing when and where the rape took place was an indication of irresponsibility.

According to a report by the National Crime Bureau, one-third of all crimes against women across the country are committed in the state, Chandrababu said. He said it was unfortunate that andhra pradesh was at the forefront of physical assaults on women, human trafficking, and sexual harassment in the country.

He questioned chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's statement that the accused would be punished within 21 days as per the Direction Act. Demurred whether the original direction law was in force in the state. It was questioned how many cases were registered under this Act and how many were convicted.

Chandrababu said the accused Venkatareddy was still not caught if he gang-raped a young woman in Sitanagar next to cm Jaganmohan Reddy's house. He said such crimes were on the rise due to the rampant use of cannabis, drugs, and alcohol in the state.

Chandrababu said that the measures to be taken by the chief minister and the policies to be followed should be such as to make the perpetrators of crimes against women life-threatening. He said the police system should not be used for political purposes but for peacekeeping.

They demanded financial assistance of crores of rupees and a house and a livelihood for the victim who was raped at the vijayawada government Hospital. Victims are outraged that they are being held accountable for forgetting responsibility if they stand up and demand justice. Chandrababu demanded that a special court be set up to look into the incident and punish the culprits severely.
