Omicron Spread - Night curfew enforced in Karnataka??


A 10-day night curfew has been imposed in karnataka as a precautionary measure in the wake of the rapid spread of the Omicron virus. More than 420 cases of omicron have been confirmed in 17 states and Union Territories. Outbreaks appear to be worsened in maharashtra and Delhi. The Union government has arranged to send the Central Committee to the most alarming influenced states, the Central Committee is rushing to 10 states namely Kerala, maharashtra, tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Mizoram, karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Punjab. As a precautionary measure, restrictions have been imposed in states including maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Haryana. The federal government has also demanded that the vaccination be expedited.

 A high-level consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of karnataka Chief minister Basavaraj Puppet. It has been decided to implement the night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am for 10 days from the 28th of this month, which will be monitored by health minister sudhakar and experts and senior government officials. No ceremonies or parties should be held on the outdoor grounds. The karnataka government has said that dj concerts and large gatherings are not allowed for the New year's celebration.
