All of a sudden,
cm Stalin seems to blend with
bjp and is heaping praises on the
prime minister of India. He said, "The
prime minister has now admitted that what we've been saying for the past year in
parliament, the Legislature, and the
house of Commons is right. The sacrifice of the agrarian masses, who have been fighting in the
capital delhi for the past year, is the reason for this magnificent accomplishment. On
november 26 of last year, the farmers arrived in
delhi and began a direct struggle.
There are exactly seven days left till the one-year mark is reached. Farmers' unions were planning a big protest on
november 26. Despite the sun, rain, and bitter cold, the peasants toiled away, unconcerned about food or health. So far, about 700
people have died. The
government made this decision knowing that the fight will only escalate after
november 26th, or in anticipation of upcoming state legislative elections. Only after so many hardships and sacrifices has it been announced that the law would be repealed. The choice to withdraw is good for any reason.
All three laws must be formally repealed by
parliament on the first day of the session. The federal
government should contact the poor peasants and talk with them. We must pay attention to the farmers' needs. All farmers who died in the conflict should receive financial support, and all cases should be dropped. We must gain the farmers' trust by accepting and implementing these demands. If
indian agriculture is to thrive, it will have to rely on farmers. I urge the federal
government to move through with the positive policies that underpin it, as well as repealing other unpopular laws, such as the Citizenship Amendment Act."
