The northeast monsoon rains have wreaked havoc on different infrastructure facilities, including roadways, in

minister Periyasamy to investigate crop losses caused by severe rains in the delta districts, visit with farmers and solicit their input, and present a report to the government. As a result, on
november 12, 2021, the team visited submerged fields in Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and
mayiladuthurai districts, did a field study on the agricultural loss condition, and spoke with farmers to get their feedback.
In addition, on

tamil Nadu undertook a field
survey in Delta districts, asking farmers about crop damage. The
chief minister paid a visit to flood-affected districts in Kanyakumari
district yesterday (15
november 2021). In this regard, the Ministers submitted a report on agricultural damage to the
chief minister today (16-11-2021). Senior officials, including Ministers and the Chief Secretary, attended the
review meeting on the committee's report. The
chief minister has recommended that Rs 300 crore be allocated to rebuild flood-damaged roads, sewers, and other infrastructure amenities across the state.
