The plea was heard by Justices M. Thuraiswamy and K. Muralishankar at a session. P. Ratnam, a senior advocate, argued for the petitioner. The petition was afterwards served on the tamil Nadu home Secretary, the DGP of tamil Nadu, and the Pudukottai district Superintendent of Police. The judges decided to postpone the hearing until the 30th.
