After a hot squabble in the punjab congress amid Captain amarinder singh and Sidhu erupted in August, against the Chief Minister's desires, the party designated Sidhu as its chief. After Punjab's cabinet extension, Sidhu is assumed to be unhappy with the bureaucratic system and his directives not being executed out in his way. the following months of disputes in the state congress, on July 23rd, Sidhu was designated as President of the punjab Pradesh congress Committee (PPCC) and despite all these Sidhu's resignation makes the congress party angered.
A minister and three congress heads who are close to Sidhu have retired from their seats. Followingly with Sidhu's resignation, there was a wave of bye-byes too. The congress team is completely unhappy with Mr Sidhu, who resigned as PPCC on tuesday and the party is angered by his resignation letter and is expected to take a tough stance against this.
