The kolkata High court today ordered the West bengal Speaker to rule on a petition filed by an official challenge on bjp mla Mukul Roy's decision to join the trinamool congress by october 7. Mukul Roy, a former member of the trinamool congress, switched to the bjp before the election. In the May bengal by-election, he ran for the bjp and won from the Krishna nagar constituency.
In the May assembly elections in bengal, the trinamool congress won for the third time. Mukul Roy, a bjp mla, joined the trinamool congress as a result of this. Last night, a bjp mla in kolkata filed an urgent writ case before the kolkata High Court. The supreme court has ordered the Speaker to act on the party tab within three months of submitting a complaint, according to the statement. The party has time until october 7 to take action against Mukul Roy, according to the law from the High Court.
Judges Rajesh Bindal and Rajarsi Bhardwaj of the kolkata High court heard the plea today. Based on the supplication filed by the Self-governing official, May bengal Speaker Biman Banerjee should take action against Mukul Roy under the party Taboo Act by october 7. If he does not comply, the court will take action against him.
