'VERSO'- The other side of the BJP!

No one can deny that the Indian economy , which had been in decline since before the Corona, got worse during the Corona crisis . The income of the people is very low during this period. For the most part, it was mostly about getting a job. Although the economy is said to be recovering fast, the lives of most people have not yet recovered from the effects. However, the price of cooking gas rose by 47 percent during the same period as the Corona crisis. Cylinder prices have more than doubled in seven years.

Congress leader Rahul gandhi has questioned where the Rs 23 lakh crore received by the state from petrol, diesel and cooking gas during the BJP's seven-year rule has gone. He also teases that the increase in GDP during the Modi regime means 'increase in gas, diesel and petrol' prices. Cooking gas has become an inevitable part of every family's monthly expenses by bringing the entire indian household into use of cooking gas through the Ujwala project introduced by the BJP . Most have been forced to return to wood stoves.

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who a few years ago blamed the government for the rise in petrol and cooking gas prices, has now blamed oil companies for the rise. Who is really responsible for the increase in the price of cooking gas, and what is the background to the increase in prices?

As the price of crude oil rises in the international market, so does the price of cooking gas. Similarly, the price of crude oil will rise in the event of a war or crisis that could affect the rest of the world. The question now is whether the global political turmoil caused by the Taliban's occupation of afghanistan will lead to higher prices. afghanistan is not an oil-producing country, while its oil and gas consumption is large. But the chaos and tension created by the Afghan environment is likely to have an impact on the political affairs and economies of the world's nations. So the variable is due to a significant price increase.

It is true that the government data-faces various challenges such as the economic downturn, the impact on tax revenue, the fiscal deficit and the compulsion to implement fiscal stimulus programs. Moreover, many economists blame government policies for the current economic crisis.

In some unavoidable moments the government forgets the need to take policies in the long run so as not to harm the people.

Most households used a wood stove when the price of a cooking gas cylinder was low. A study released by the CAG in 2019 found that most Ujwala customers stopped using the first cylinder and switched back to the wood stove. Currently the price has reached a sharp rise. They say it will be approaching Rs 1,000 soon. It looks like people have to go back in search of firewood.
