COVID Treatment cost reduced in Tamil Nadu!

The government of tamil Nadu has ordered the revision of corona treatment fees coming under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Medical Insurance Scheme and corona treatment fees in private hospitals. The daily premium in the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Medicare Plan has been converted into a packaged premium.



Accordingly, the daily fee for treatment with a ventilator is Rs.35,000 with a package fee of Rs. 56,200. The package fee has been fixed at Rs. 3,000 per day for non-serious treatment as against Rs. 5,000 per day. The package fee has been fixed at Rs 7,500 per day as against Rs 15,000 per day for treatment with oxygen. The daily charge for non-ventilator intensive care has been decreased Rs.27,100 to Rs.30,000. 



Corona treatment fees for the general public in private hospitals have also changed. A bed with no oxygen will now cost Rs. 3,000, a bed with oxygen will cost Rs.7000 and Rs. 15,000 for a bed with a ventilator. The fee for a gradual reduction in intensive care with oxygen alone is set at Rs.7,000. tamil Nadu health Minister Ma. Subramanian has officially announced the decreased rates for COVID treatment in tamil Nadu state under cm medicare scheme.
