Chandra babu made mistake by criticizing NDA government in Wrong Place?
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has chosen a wrong place to make critical remarks against the NDA government for not fulfilling the commitments made in the AP Reorganization Act. While Naidu has every right to raise the demands at political meetings, on Monday, he chose to attack the Centre at the CII Partnership Summit, where business delegates from 50 countries participated, besides more than 3,000 delegates.
Reacting
to a query on the importance of patience, Naidu reminded that there was a limit
to patience of everybody. “For the last three and a half years, I have been
waiting patiently for the Centre to do justice to the state. But the Centre’s
indifferent attitude is causing a lot of unrest and impatience among the people
of the state,” he said.
Sharing dais with spiritual guru Sri Ravi Shankar, Naidu said, "The Centre is not giving what it had committed, thus causing unrest among people". He explained how the state was bifurcated in an unscientific manner and expressed that his efforts to put the state on development path are not complemented by the Centre.
What came as an immediate provocation for Naidu's outburst was the non-committal attitude adopted by commerce and industry Minister Suresh Prabhu in the last three days. Suresh was all appreciative of Andhra's progress but did not come with any good news from the Centre. Many felt that Naidu should not have made the comments at a global summit. “It not only reflects badly on Naidu, but also brings down his image and also that of India,” an observer commented.
