NTR’s statue brings friends & foes in parliament
The unveiling of NTR statue yesterday saw different rival groups and even warring political parties onto a common platform today. It is a known fact that there is cold war going on between Harikrishna and Babu, but both of them were seen in Delhi with junior NTR being an additional factor who had made his presence yesterday.
Senior and National level Congress leaders were in attendance along with NTR family. PM Manmohan Singh was gracious enough to accept Purandareshwari’s invitation. Naidu camp, Purandareshwari Camp and even Lakshmi Parvathy were seen together.
Senior BJP leaders like Venkaiah Naidu, Advani and Sushma Swaraj were seen sharing lighter moments with Naidu today. It is for the first time that Naidu shared stage with senior BJP leaders in the last 8 to 9 years, a party which was instrumental in forging key alliance with NTR in 80s and with Babu in 90s. This is too early to say whether this was a political redata-alignment but it nevertheless it broke the ice between many rival camps!
