Insensitivity on atrocities over women is reaching new heights. Politicians try to findout some or the other reason for increasing atrocities on women. Telangana CM KCR sometime back thundered that he will punish rapists in such a manner that no one would dare to look a women with evil intentions.
Everyone hailed KCR for his tough talk as he is renowned for strong actions. However nothing of that happened and henious Veenavanka rape happened. Even as many expressed concerns, Telangana finance minister Etela Rajender came with shocking statements.
Speaking at Karimnagar, he blamed cellphones for rapes. He said parents presenting high end mobiles to boys is the root cause for the rapes. This shocked everyone.
He went on to add “We will take effective measures to avoid recurrence of such incidents which are very unfortunate and punish the guilty by setting up a fast track court in three months,
